The Science Center is open Wednesday through Monday from 9:30AM until 5PM. The last admission for the day is sold at 4:30PM. We are closed on Tuesdays for tank maintenance, but our public Walks, Talks, and Treks and group programs are available every day!
It usually takes 45-60 minutes to thoroughly explore our exhibits, touch tank, and fossil room; add an hour for one of our Walks, Talks, or Treks. Although you may end up hypnotized for the whole afternoon by Charlie the Box Turtle.
The science center does NOT have its own parking lot. Visitors park in the city-owned North Beach lot—pay at kiosks or download the easy-to-use ParkTYB app available for both iPhone and Android platforms. Bus parking is located in designated spaces on Pulaski Street. Call parking services at 912-472-5101 with any issues.
Outside food and drinks are not allowed in the science center, but feel free to fill your water bottle at our filter station next to the front door.
The center does not allow firearms, other dangerous or deadly weapons or explosives, on the premises, either openly or concealed. The prohibition on firearms applies to all visitors, including those with firearm permits, with the exception of active law enforcement personnel.
