We are a marine science education and research center showcasing the ecology and creatures of coastal Georgia. Apart from a few permanent residents, our facility is exclusively catch-and-release—every specimen you see came from the ocean outside or close by, so our exhibits are always changing!

Parking &

Directions

We are located on Tybee Island at the end of the North Beach Parking lot on the beachside of Fort Screven. Pay for parking at kiosks or download the easy-to-use ParkTYB app available for both iPhone and Android platforms.

 

Visitors can call parking services at 912-472-5101 or visit the offices at 1509 Strand Ave. for any issues. Bus parking is located in designated spaces on Pulaski Street.

Accessibility

We strive to provide an accessible and inclusive marine science experience for all.

There are designated spaces for disabled permit holders close to our entrance in the North Beach parking lot.

The front entrance is a gradual ramp with arm rails, and there is an elevator that serves both floors of the facility.

Beach wheelchairs are free to use with our supervised programs.

Marsh Ecology Trek
During this trek through Georgia’s salt marsh, you’ll get hands-on exploration in the mud searching for animals and learning about these unique areas. Recommended for ages 6 and up.

Sift ‘N’ Seine
